Hi there, we’re Mark and Rachel Cox, the dynamic duo behind Fresh Swell Creative. Our combined background in marketing, sales and visual communication helps us get into the mind of your customers so we can develop the most effective strategy, create the best design, and capture the right angle for your project.

Rachel Cox

Graphic Designer & Creative Director

With a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and over 10 years of graphic design experience, I’ve created designs in all kinds of mediums — from digital, to web, to print. If you name it, there’s a good chance I’ve designed it! I have a combined background in marketing and visual communication, and I’ve served clients across diverse industries, including non-profit, engineering, construction, healthcare, technology, insurance and education. Partnering with clients of all kinds sustains my continuous curiosity and interest in learning new things.

I’m always managing multiple projects and that’s one of the things I like most about what I do. I love variety, and in my role, no two days are ever the same. Working with people makes me thrive, whether it’s collaborating with others, developing a project strategy, or coming up with creative solutions to help my clients pull off the best project yet!

Outside of work, I have a passion for cooking new and delicious meals (I’m always experimenting in the kitchen!), floral design, traveling, and exploring the hidden gems of Michigan with my husband and daughter.

Mark Cox

Co-Founder & Photographer

With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in business and extensive sales experience, I am passionate about creating the best experience for our customers. At Fresh Swell Creative, I spearhead photography, business development and customer experience.

I started my career in the Air Force working in Medical Logistics. After my time in the service I worked in packaging sales where I provided clients with solutions to get their products out the door in the most effective way. In these two positions I held three core values: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all I do. Because of these values I put my passion and love for photography on the side. I pursued it as a hobby and not as a career. After graduating with my MBA, I decided to pursue photography professionally in tandem with Rachel’s graphic design services. I realized how I could incorporate my love for photography, education in business, and experience in sales to provide value to the clients we serve.

In addition to my role with Fresh Swell, I run another business—Lakeshore Sports Coaching. I offer tennis and pickleball coaching services in the Holland area.

Outside of work, I am passionate about surfing—so passionate that you can find me in the water in the freezing cold of winter! I also enjoy a variety of board sports, racket sports, traveling, and spending time with my wife and daughter.

  • Since every project we do is unique, our pricing varies. We create custom quotes for all the work we do so you know upfront what to expect and there are no surprise costs when we complete a project! If you have a certain budget in mind, we do our best to come up with solutions that fit within your price range.

  • Yes! Whenever a prospective client reaches out with a project we set up an initial discovery meeting at no charge. It allows us to get to know each other and discuss the project to see if it is a good fit for both parties.

  • We are based in Michigan but we work with clients from all over! From Boston, to Colorado, to California — and even in Mexico. If you are local to West Michigan, we love to meet in person when we can. We don’t have our own office space, but we often work out of MVP’s coworking space and utilize their conference rooms when needed.

  • We focus solely on commerical photography so we do not shoot weddings, family photos, or senior photos. We’d love to hear from you if your organization is looking for headshots, product photography, event photography, etc.
